About Welldrillers Wanganui

Welldrillers Wanganui Ltd was established in 1972 by Lyle Sharratt, having had previous experience in the drilling industry. In 2021, after continuous operation under the same ownership and management for nearly 50 years, Lyle sold the company to Brent Cornor and Jayden Carrick who have nearly 30 years combined experience in the drilling industry.

Lyle is still working within the company with the title of Consultant as his skills and wealth of knowledge in the field are invaluable. As part of Lyle’s responsibility as consultant he is sharing his knowledge so that eventually he can retire. To date Welldrillers Wanganui employs eight experienced staff and run a two-rig operation.
